Avian Influenza Virus (H9) Vaccine, Inactivated (Strain NJ01)

Avian Influenza (Subtype H9N2) Vaccine, Inactivated (Strain NJ01) is designed to prevent avian influenza in ducks and chickens caused by the H9 subtype avian influenza virus, presenting as a milky white emulsion for intramuscular injection or subcutaneous injection in the dorsal part of the neck. Dosages are tailored by species and age: Ducks – under 5 weeks old (0.3 ml per bird), ≥5 weeks old (0.5 ml per bird), 1–2 weeks before laying (0.8 ml per bird, booster every 5 months at 0.8 ml); Chickens – younger than 5 weeks old (0.3 ml per bird), older than 5 weeks old (0.5 ml per bird, booster every 6 months at 0.5 ml). Immunity periods vary by vaccination schedule: Ducks (3 weeks to 5 months), Chickens (6 weeks to 6 months) based on age and single/two-dose administration.

Main Components and Contents:

This vaccine contains inactivated H9 avian influenza virus Strain NJ01, and the content of virus before inactivation is not less than 108.0ELD50/0.1mL.

Properties: Milky white emulsion

Function and Use: For the prevention of avian influenza in ducks and chickens caused by the H9 subtype of avian influenza virus. 

Ducks:

One dose vaccination: Administer at 8-12 days of age for 3 weeks of immunity. Administer at 3-5 weeks of age for 3 months of immunity.

Two-dose vaccination: Administer the first dose at 8–12 days of age and the second dose at 5 weeks of age for 5 months of immunity.

Chicken: One dose vaccination: vaccinate at 10-12 days of age, the duration of immunity is 6 weeks; vaccinate at 3-5 weeks of age, the duration of immunity is 4 months.

Two doses vaccination: primary immunization at 10-12 days of age and revaccinate at 7 weeks of age, the duration of immunity is 6 months. 

Usage and Dosage

Intramuscular injection or subcutaneous injection in the dorsal part of neck.

Ducks: Under 5 weeks of age, 0.3 ml per bird; 5 weeks of age and older, 0.5 ml per bird; 1–2 weeks before laying begins, 0.8 ml per bird; thereafter, administer a booster dose every 5 months at 0.8 ml per bird.

Chicken: younger than 5 weeks of age, 0.3mL per bird; older than 5 weeks of age, 0.5mL per bird; boosted every 6 months, 0.5mL per bird.

Adverse Reactions: There are generally no adverse reactions

Precautions:

  1. Inoculate healthy chickens only.
  2. Don't freeze or expose to high temperature.
  3. Allow the bottle to room temperature and shake well before use.
  4. The vaccine should be carefully checked before use. Ifdemulsification or deterioration occurs, don't use.
  5. Routine aseptic operation should be conducted during vaccination.
  6. After opening, the vaccine should be used up on the same day only.
  7. It is forbidden to use in broilers within 2l days before slaughter.

Storage and Validity: 2-8℃ preservation, valid for 24 months.
